How Beyond Grief is written
Our editorial scope, authorship approach, sources, and how to raise a correction.
What this publication is for
Beyond Grief is an independent publication about grief, remembrance, and everyday life after a death. It offers general information, practical ideas, and reflection. It is not a therapy provider, legal adviser, or emergency service.
Bylines and AI
Beyond Grief includes human contributions and AI-assisted editorial writing. Some bylines are editorial voices rather than individual contributors. A byline does not imply clinical qualifications or personal experience of bereavement.
Editorial-byline descriptions identify a subject or style, not a verified biography. We do not treat a name or portrait as evidence of personal loss, clinical training, or cultural authority. Personal accounts and professional credentials should only be presented when verified and authorized for publication.
Evidence and review
A source should support the specific claim beside it. General guides, reflection, and professional advice are different kinds of writing. Where administrative rules or service availability differ by country, readers should follow current official local guidance.
Do not assume an article has had clinical or legal review unless a relevant reviewer and review are explicitly identified. An update date records a content change, not professional approval. Our current editorial cleanup does not constitute a clinical review of the library.
Independence and links
Articles and links should be chosen for reader usefulness. A reference to another organization is not an endorsement or an assertion of partnership. Any relevant product, sponsorship, or ownership relationship should be disclosed rather than hidden in general guidance.
The organizations listed on our resources page are outside resources, not brands owned by Beyond Grief.
Corrections
If a passage seems inaccurate, misleading, or difficult to use, send the article link and the specific passage to team@beyond-grief.com. Include a reliable source if you have one. You do not need to disclose personal medical information or the details of a death.
A correction request is not an urgent support request. Please contact local emergency or crisis services if you need immediate help.
Stories and consent
Please send a brief pitch before sending a personal essay, photographs, or someone else’s story. Sending a message is not permission for us to publish it as an article. Publication permissions, attribution, editing, and any anonymity arrangement should be agreed separately. Do not send information you are not entitled to share.
